This is a good start.

I was wondering, would it be beneficial to the goal of this wiki to have something like what I started to create here: http://club.mandriva.com/xwiki/bin/view/judland_sk/JudlandsMainMenu ?

Because of important and useful information being so scattered (not just on the Mandriva Wiki itseslf, but on different web pages completely), I thought a searchable databank would be useful to users - novices especially.

Should I / could I transfer the data I've gather so far to this wiki?

--UPDATE--

I started doing it anyway.  ;)

Yes, feel free to do this, but try to keep things properly organized. I see you've done a good job, but I think that the two pages you made could be managed with a single page, entitled "Graphics" or something similar as the two are very closely tied together.

Sure. If things can be arranged more effectively, then all the better.

Because one page deals with hardware and one with software, I wasn't exactly sure what would have been the best solution. I was just trying to keep the pages short, yet informative, at the same time keeping their content directly related to their headings (or purpose).

What I like about doing it this way is that the pages show up very nicely when doing a wiki search (say for the term AIGLX). One heading clearly says hardware, while the other refers to it's use (ie: software). Personally, this is the way I prefer to navigate a wiki page, via the search. Having a short page specifically discussing the topic I'm interested in, rather than a longer page I have to read through to find exactly what I'm looking for, is more my style.

But that's just my way of thinking. I'll concede to which ever way the majority here prefers. Lead and I'll follow ;)
