An overview of new features and packages in Mandriva Linux 2007.0:

- New release extention for packages mdv2007.0.
- New distribution tree structure (now the official tree will have 4 subdirectories per media, /release for official packages, /updates for official updates, /backports for cooker backported packages and /testing for packages previously in the /devel/community tree (which is now obsolete)).

- Improved XFdrake with support of new Xorg extension (composite, 3D...)
- Drak3D (to configure 3D desktop)

- DrakVPN: configuration tool for VPN network
- Invictus Firewall: redundancy system for firewall (with transparent take over)

- Improved Udev rules including several coldplug fixes (for example when you boot with your USB devices already plugged)
